Julius Randle is a professional basketball player currently playing for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born in Texas and attended the University of Kentucky where he played college basketball for one season before entering the NBA.


Randle was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the seventh overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. He played for the Lakers for four seasons before signing with the New Orleans Pelicans in 2018. He played for the Pelicans for two seasons before signing with the Knicks in 2019.


Throughout his career, Randle has proven to be a versatile and productive player. He has a unique combination of size, strength, and skill that allows him to play both power forward and center positions. He is known for his ability to score, rebound and pass the ball effectively. Randle is averaging 21.0 points, 10.2 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game this season which is the best of his career.
