Bianca Andreescu is a Canadian professional tennis player who rose to prominence in 2019 after winning the US Open. She was born on June 16, 2000 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.


Andreescu began playing tennis at the age of seven and quickly showed her talent and potential, becoming the youngest player to win the Orange Bowl tournament in the under-16 category at the age of 12. She turned professional in 2017 and started making her mark in the WTA Tour.


In 2019, Andreescu made a huge impact in the tennis world, winning her first Grand Slam title at the US Open. She defeated Serena Williams in the final, becoming the first Canadian player, male or female, to win a Grand Slam singles title. Unfortunately, Andreescu has been plagued by injuries in recent years and has been unable to maintain her consistent play. She has been dealing with knee problems and has been forced to withdraw from several tournaments. Despite this setback, Andreescu remains optimistic and has stated that she is working hard to get back to her best form.
