The state of California is grappling with yet another mass shooting, as seven people were killed by a
former co-worker in the coastal city of Half Moon Bay, south of San Francisco. The victims were
Chinese-American farm workers. The suspect, 67-year-old Zhao Chunli, was arrested after turning
himself in to police. This tragedy comes as the state continues to mourn the deaths of 11 people in a
shooting in Monterey Park during Lunar New Year celebrations, and the deaths of six people, including a
mother and baby, in a shooting in Goshen just over a week ago. California Governor Gavin Newsom
tweeted that he was meeting with victims of the previous mass shooting when he was informed of the
latest attack, describing it as "tragedy upon tragedy
