The Loyalist: Vice President Mike Pence's tenure under Trump Administration

Mike Pence is an American politician who served as the 48th vice president of the United States from 2017 to 2021. He served under President Donald Trump and was the first vice president to have served as the governor of a state (Indiana) before being elected to the national office.

Pence was born on June 7, 1959, in Columbus, Indiana. He attended Hanover College and earned a law degree from Indiana University's McKinney School of Law. After graduating, Pence worked as a radio host and attorney before entering politics.

In 2000, Pence was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Indiana's 2nd congressional district. He served six terms in the House, during which he became known as a conservative firebrand and a vocal critic of the Obama administration.

In 2012, Pence was elected governor of Indiana. As governor, he implemented a number of conservative policies, including a controversial "religious freedom" law that many criticized as discriminatory against LGBTQ individuals. He also oversaw a significant expansion of the state's economy, with unemployment dropping to record lows during his tenure.

In 2016, Pence was chosen by Donald Trump to be his running mate in the presidential election. The Trump-Pence ticket won the election, and Pence was sworn in as vice president on January 20, 2017.

As vice president, Pence has been a close advisor to President Trump and has played a key role in many of the administration's policy decisions. He has been a vocal supporter of the president's economic policies, and has also been a strong advocate for the administration's efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act and limit access to abortion.

Pence has also played a leading role in the administration's foreign policy, particularly with regard to the United States' relationship with North Korea. He has also been a strong supporter of the president's efforts to build a wall along the southern border of the United States.

Pence's tenure as vice president was marked by his unwavering loyalty to President Trump, even when many other Republican leaders distanced themselves from the president's actions and statements. This loyalty earned him the nickname "The Loyalist" in the media.

On January 20, 2021 Pence's tenure as Vice President ended with the inauguration of Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States. He returned to private life.

It's worth noting that Mike Pence is considered a prominent figure among the Republican Party and is expected to continue playing a significant role in the party's future
