Patrick Mahomes is an American football quarterback who currently plays for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL).


Born on September 17, 1995, in Tyler, Texas, Mahomes played college football at Texas Tech University before being selected by the Kansas City Chiefs as the 10th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.


Since then, Mahomes has established himself as one of the most talented and exciting quarterbacks in the NFL. In his first season as a starter in 2018, he led the Chiefs to the AFC Championship game and was named the NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) after throwing for over 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns.


Mahomes continued his impressive form in 2019, leading the Chiefs to their first Super Bowl victory in 50 years, and was named Super Bowl MVP for his performance in the game. He has since become a two-time Pro Bowler and has been named to the All-Pro team twice.
