Uber envisions a future with three-wheeled vehicles and seating facing each other







Uber is working with car manufacturers to create specialized vehicles for urban ride-hailing and delivery services. These custom-built electric vehicles will have smaller environmental footprints and improve traffic flow with features such as three wheels and passengers sitting facing each other. Uber is also working with electric commercial vehicle start-up Arrival to create a car specifically for ride-hailing. The company plans to offer only fully electric rides in the US and Europe by 2030. Additionally, vehicles with lower top speeds can be held to less stringent crash safety standards, making them more suitable for urban deliveries where space and power efficiency are key. The goal is to have more efficient, sustainable and efficient way to move people and packages around the city
